The Hotel |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The hotel is a 3* Hotel in the heart of Sutanhamet, the tourist
district of
Istanbul. It is a small, friendly and very clean hotel.
It is literally round
the
corner from the Blue Mosque and easily
within walking distance for
all the
major attractions.
Your accommodation is based on two people sharing a twin
room
with
en suite
bathroom. All rooms
have a phone,
international television and
air
conditioning.
The hotel does not have a bar but we view this as a positive
advantage, if you wish
to drink they encourage you to
bring your own
and make use of the roof terrace at night .They are
more than
happy to
provide glasses! If you want a quiet night they
will even offer to
phone you a
take away. They
are extremely
accommodating and it helps keep your costs down, so more
to spend on all things sparkly!

Shopping |
|
|
|
Of course Istanbul is famous for the Grand Bazaar with its lively
and
bewitching shops selling everything from little curios to
carpets (not to
mention the belly dance costumes)!!. But there are
also lots
of boutiques and modern shopping centers to be
discovered.
Brush up on
your
haggling skills before you go
though, because you will need them.
Madam bellas is an experience with her army of busting
seamstresses. It is also a
fantastic spectacle to see her many
cats competing with
you for a seat on one of the grand chairs.
Relax, drink some tea
and browse the
hundreds of costumes. |

Wining and Dining |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Anything you want to eat you can find in Istanbul. Chinese,
Mexican,
French, Italian etc etc etc. Turkish food is lovely and you
should give it a go
when you are
there; kebabs, stews and
wonderful desserts are all a must for
a truly
Turkish experience.
In Istanbul the local specialty is fish and you will find lots of good
seafood restaurants.

Sightseeing & Trips |
|
|
|
Where do you start! There is an overwhelming amount of history
in Istanbul; Mosques, Churches, Palaces, Museums, parks.
You can take city tours, or river cruises. You will find a week is not
long enough to see everything.
